The IGANTEI was build by Hosaka family they were one of the very famous squire. The eighth head of the family,Sadakichi Hosaka is very famous by planting the lotus of the Takada Castle which is the largest in the East.The IGANTEI was build 106 years ago. We can see the history of the IGANTEI everywhere,for example the beam,the pillar,the corridor,everything of the IGANTEI is kept.They are handed down by the volunteer carefully. There are many valuable assets in the IGANTEI,for example the old traditional lights of Meiji era,the minionette craftsmanship on the beam,the traditional silent garden. We can see the very beautifull scene of the 4 seasons in Takada through the “Shoji”. We get captivated by the detailed composition.Especially we can see the very beautiful red leaves with colorful trees in autumn opening of the garden. We repaired the old traditional storehouse last year.There are many antique furnitures in the storehouse with the nice atmosphere of the orange lights. The luxurious Jazz concert is held recently.
